Super Kind
Capacity Building Group
A Neuroaffirming Space for Compassion, Connection & Confidence
The Super Kind Capacity Building Group is a gentle, inclusive, and strengths-based program designed to support primary school -aged children in building emotional resilience, authentic relationships and self-compassion.
Age Group: Primary School‑Aged
Format: Weekly in-person sessions
Facilitators: Trauma-informed and neuro-affirming practitioners
Rooted in neuroaffirming principles, the group celebrates each child’s unique way of thinking, feeling and connecting - creating a space where kindness is not just taught, but lived.
What Makes It Neuroaffirming:
1. Respect for Individual Differences: Children are supported to engage in ways that feel safe and comfortable for them—whether that’s through movement, quiet reflection, parallel play, or creative expression.
2. Flexible Communication Styles: We honour all forms of communication, including verbal, non-verbal, AAC, and body language, ensuring every child feels heard and understood.
3. Sensory-Safe Environment: Activities and spaces are designed with sensory needs in mind, offering options for regulation, quiet time, and sensory-friendly materials.
4. Authentic Relationships: Facilitators model and encourage genuine connection, allowing children to build relationships at their own pace and in their own way.
5. Play-Based & Strengths-Focused: Children explore kindness, empathy, and emotional skills through imaginative play, storytelling, art, and movement—celebrating their strengths and interests.
6. Co-Regulation & Emotional Safety: Facilitators provide warm, attuned support to help children navigate big feelings and build emotional resilience through co-regulation and compassionate guidance.
